Week view: Events are too small and get cut off#4888

H

In the weekly calendar view (time grid), shorter appointments (e.g. 60 minutes) are often displayed too small to properly show their content.

Event titles and time information get partially cut off, especially when:

  • multiple appointments are stacked
  • the slot height is compact
  • internal event elements (header/footer) take up vertical space

From a usability perspective, this makes it harder for staff to quickly read and manage appointments.

It would be very helpful to have:

  • a setting to control minimum event height (e.g. timeGridEventMinHeight)
  • or an option to adjust the vertical spacing of time slots (slot height)
  • or display modes like “compact / standard / spacious”

Currently, this cannot be solved properly with CSS alone, since increasing event height does not make the calendar grid adapt accordingly.

This would significantly improve readability in the weekly view.
