Allow Date & Time before Extras in Step-by-Step Booking Form#4816

In the current Step-by-Step Booking Form, when a service has Extras enabled, the flow is fixed as:

Service → Extras → Date & Time → Customer Details → Payment

Please add an option to allow this order instead:

Service → Date & Time → Extras → Customer Details → Payment

This would be a major UX improvement for many businesses.

For customers, the most natural flow is:

First check if the desired date/time is available
Then choose optional extras
Then complete their details and payment

Showing Extras before availability creates unnecessary friction, especially for businesses where:

the booking date is the main decision point
extras are optional upsells
conversion depends on reducing steps before availability is confirmed

This is particularly important for event, venue, party, rental, and appointment businesses where clients usually want to know “Is my date available?” before making any other decisions.

A setting like this would help businesses:

improve conversion rates
reduce booking friction
keep using native Amelia Extras
avoid moving upsells outside Amelia
Suggested implementation

Please add a native option in the Step-by-Step form settings such as:

Extras position:

Before Date & Time
After Date & Time

That would preserve backward compatibility while giving businesses more flexibility.

This seems like a very common use case and would make the booking flow feel much more natural.

I would like to support the existing feature request “Allow Date & Time before Extras in Step-by-Step Booking Form”.

In a medical appointment flow, the patient’s main decision is first whether a suitable date and time is available. Only after that does it make sense to show optional extras or add-ons.

Could you please consider adding a native setting such as:

Extras position:

  • Before Date & Time
  • After Date & Time

This would improve conversion and reduce friction in clinical booking flows.
