2-way synchronization with iCal#24

Allow synchronizing employee calendar with iCal and Outlook calendar for smoother personal scheduling

We have a client base of over 200 small to middle sized service providers based in the EU and Switzerland. Everything Ulrich mentions above holds true for all of them:

The use of Google and Microsoft solutions is lower than 5% in our client base. While it is possible to use these cloud providers GDPR complient, it requires the paid versions, for Microsoft even in the upper tier segments.

Providers heavily used in the German-speaking areas include GMX, Mail.de, Web.de or services provided by the big ISPs like Telekom, Vodafon, IONOS, Swisscom, etc.

ALL of those are iCal/CalDAV compatible.

On a second note, many services in healthcare, therapy, wellness, etc. use multiple booking-solutions provided by healtcare-issuers or business associations. Some of our clients report that more than half of new customers are aquired through these channels and about a third prefers those over the businesses individual booking solution – a matter of trust.

Amelia not supporting CalDAV yet really is an oversight and a big issue and it should be implemented urgently.

I also need the possibility to view the employee calendar in iCal and would appreciate this being made possible.

This would really help my business too.

We build websites for medium/small businesses and help setup Amelia on their behalf. 100+ of our clients have asked for this feature as well.

CalDAV support would increase Amelias userbase rapidly, because in the EU more users are shifting from Google Calendar, MS/Office 365 & iCloud to more privacy-friendly solutions such as Nextcloud, Open-XChange and even Roundcube (Webmail), which is included with almost every cPanel-hosting-account.
