Waiting List
A customer can select to be added to a waiting list, if the limit of places in a course is already reached. If another customer cancels his booking, the customers on the waiting list get an automatic notification, that there is a place available and can book, or maybe they are switched automatically from waiting status to approved and get notified.

Yes please, my client Studio3Sittard.com does private pilates lessons. These are appointments that can be booked. If a time is already booked, it should be possible that someone clicks a checkbox for the waitinglist. That way, if someone cancels, they can be alerted.

Yes, a wait list is the only truly desirable feature Amelia does not yet have, in my opinion. I run a massage therapy practice and some weeks are in high demand. It would be great if people can sign up for a wait list and also be able to choose which dates/times or “any available spot” or “any available spot on specific dates”, etc. And the wait list would automatically notify them if a time opens up.

hi, I have an osteopath client which organizes special Pilates sessions, and he wants people to be able to add themselves on a waiting list for an event, when it’s fully booked. In the current uncertain covid times, cancellations happen all the time, and with this technique filling the places will be way more efficient. This way local businesses will be helped by Amelia to continue their viability.

I most certainly would appreciate this feature, a waiting list would not only help promote Amelia as the all round best booking system, it would also set it apart from its competition so much more than what it already is.

Creating events where places fill up, it would be so beneficial for clients to be notified that a space has become available. Waiting List functionality would be super useful. Shame it isnt part of the package already.

A waiting list for appointments function will have the ability to

  • automatically message the person on the waitlist via sms
  • jump the person waiting if no response within fixed time to the next person on the waitlist

I mean I need this function for events, and I can activate it, and people used. However they don’t get any automatic notification that a spot become free. They are just on the list. And I have to look that up, copy the name, email adress, event and so on in an email program and sent that mail manually… that… is not really a help. That is not even the BASIC functionality an waiting list should have. Why can someone adds himself to the waiting list and do not get a notification that something is free now… that just don’t make any sense

We’re excited to announce that the Waiting List feature, previously available only for Events, is now also released for Appointments!

  • What’s New?
    We know many of you have been requesting this enhancement, and we truly appreciate your feedback. While the Event Waiting List works through a manual approval process - where attendees can join the waitlist and admins can approve bookings when convenient - we’ve updated the logic for Appointments based on your suggestions.
  • How Appointment Waiting Lists Work
    When appointments are fully booked, users can now sign up for the waiting list. But here’s the big improvement:
    As soon as a spot becomes available, everyone on the waiting list receives an automatic notification. From there, it’s first come, first served - whoever books the slot first gets it.
    This approach removes unnecessary manual work and solves the problem where users on the waitlist might no longer want the slot by the time an admin reaches out.
  • We Need Your Feedback
    Since the logic for Events and Appointments differs, we’d love for you to test both flows and share your experiences. Your input helps us make the product even better.

This is good but I need this facility for Events. I have a yoga school and all our bookings are through Events not Appointments. Please do the same for Events. Thank you.

appointments have the ability to autosend an email to those on waiting list if a space becomes available. This is not available in events. This needs to be possible to enable (not necesarrily by default though) for events
